WHAT IS GRAVITY

Gravitation

As we know that gravity is a concept that is discovered by sir Isaac Newton
after much thought, he came to the conclusion that the earth have a force that attracts each and every thing towards it self and then he named that force as gravity. There are many different concepts related to gravity they are;

Circular motion and Centripetal force

Thus, a force acts on any object moving along a circle and it is directed to the centre of the circle. This is called as Centripetal force., This both forces are related to gravity and each other

Kepler's law of motion
Kepler's law of motion help us to study about all planetary motion. There are three laws of motion, they are:

1. The orbit of a planet is an ellipse with the Sun at one foci

2. The line joining the sun sweeps equal areas in equal intervals of time

3. The square of its period of revolution around the sun is directly proportional to the cube of the mean distance of a planet from the sun.

Newtons universal law of gravity

According to this every object in universe attracts each other with a definite force. This force is directly proportional to the product
of the masses of the two objects and is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.
